LAB is pleased to announce the contract award for the Flue Gas Treatment of the new EEW Energy from Waste Stapelfeld GmbH plant, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany

The new EfW Plant Stapelfeld - which shall replace the existing 40 years old plant on the same site - will produce electricity for the grid and feed heat in the surrounding district heating network for a capacity of 120 MWth. As fuel, related on the specific calorific value, 310 to 350 ktons per year of municipal, household-type commercial and processed municipal waste will be utilized.

While replacing the old plant, besides an immense increase of electrical power and heat output, the new EEW Energy from Waste Stapelfeld GmbH plant will be equipped with a high efficient flue gas treatment plant from LAB GmbH designed for low emissions levels.

The single line new plant is expected to be in full operation in 2023.
