Treatment and recovery of waste
Hubert de Chefdebien, CNIM Environnement Director of Public Affairs, will speak in his capacity as Technical and Scientific Advisor to CEWEP and as an expert witness at the workshop “Do energy recovery and CSR support the objectives of the Energy Transition Act?” organized on May 17th by AMORCE.
The Energy Transition for Green Growth Act sets ambitious targets for recycling and energy recovery from waste, with the ambition of creating a true circular resource economy which has its roots as close as possible to where the requirements are located.
To achieve these results, local authorities have a strategic role to play by focusing public waste management policies on the most relevant options in the areas of prevention, recycling, organic recovery and energy recovery from waste.
How to achieve the recycling rate of 65% by 2025? What opportunities does waste offer as a resource for local communities? How to encourage more recycling while paying less?
All these questions will be widely posed and debated at this seminar organized by AMORCE, the leading French network for information, sharing of experience and supporting authorities and other local players in creating energy, climate and local waste management policies.
